the strategy

HOLISTIC, EDUCATIONAL, AUTHENTIC + HANDCRAFTED

The AE+A logo is centered around the idea of being authentic and holistic. Pulling inspiration from Alex's knowledge and passion of living a holistic life, this concept embodies a sense of craft and refinement. With the handcrafted, authentic typography and the brand illustrations, we pull together a timeless look that will show off not only her years of experience and education, but also the art and love that goes into each of their products. We wanted Alex's audience to feel welcomed, taken care of and her authentic nature while interacting with her online and seeing her products on the shelves. This strategic pairing of a handcrafted sans serif and script typography gave her brand a true authentic, timeless feel.

our goals:

strategy
brand design
packaging design

our project:

"After 4 years in business officially and having done almost all branding and marketing on my own, I felt it was time for my brand to "grow up" a little--I knew my vision, just couldn't bring it to life. Having seen and loved some packaging from another of Emily's clients, I immediately knew she was the one to bring this vision to life. I have greatly appreciated her ability to capture my desires for my brand, and offer her feedback on my (many) changes while still staying true to her esthetic. I appreciate a designer who can say "that might not work, and here's why"---and give the choice to their client for the ultimate decision. She is a supremely talented designer and I look forward to having Amavi Studio do more work for my company."
