Add value to your business by
defining you communication standards
How are you communicating to your audience?
When I ask you this question, I don’t just mean what platform are you physically communicating with them on. I am talking about what words, emotions and values are you communicating to your audience on a consistent basis?
People don’t know what services/products you are offering unless you TELL them. You have to make it clear how you can add value to their lives by having your product or working with them.
Communication strategies you need to consider for your brand:
- What are your core messages that you want to be communicating?
- Do you have a vision, mission and unique selling proposition?
- Are these messages that speak to your targeted audience?
- What words are you consistently using with your audience?
- Are you speaking directly to them or trying to include everyone in on that message?
How does investing in your brand help your communication?
When you are starting the branding process, you should be working through these strategies. Who you want to be reaching, how you can reach them, what feeling and mood your brand conveys. All of these add up to consistently communicating strong brand standards to your potential audience.
Your biggest advocate in selling your product/service is your communication strategy + how your brand supports that strategy. Does your brand look like a children’s brand but your attempting to communicate with 25-40 year old women? Well, that can be a serious deterrent to your potential client. People are attracted to brands that feel right to them.
We have to think about how you can make it the easiest for your dream clients to love you + support your business. Being clear and consistent with your communication strategy, talking about the services you offer and targeting the right audience are all keys to making that happen.
