You know how everyone always talks about packing up their entire life and moving across the world? Well… I did it! I spent two weeks moving, selling, packing and worked my life to fit into two bags, said my goodbyes and got on the plane to China!
Everyone works up this process to be such a glamorous thing… but let me tell you, it is D I F F I C U L T. Not only are the little things very overwhelming, but saying goodbye to all your family and friends is heart breaking. Even though I know it’s a ‘see you later’ it still brings tears to my eyes knowing everyone I depend on is a 20+ hour flight away. Not only did I have to say goodbye to all my human companions, but I also had to leave my little Luna behind too! Anyone who has a puppy should understand how hard this is…. Luna is definitely who I spend the most time with out of anyone and I had to walk away from her! Once again, heartbreaking.
Luckily, there are two things that have kept me going through this overwhelming process: my passion for adventure and Terrell. I knew that this transition was going to be hard, but having such an amazing guy by my side, keeping me positive has been vital. When I break down (which may or may not be often), he has been there to pick me up and I cannot thank him enough for that! Being able to see not only China, but the world with him is going to be life-changing and I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for us!
Cheers to our 365 day adventure!!
